My guys are going to start their media production exercises on Monday – all are doing video this year – so I thought I might trawl my browser and social bookmarks to get together a “top ten video production websites” list for them. In the end, I narrowed it down to ten good general sites plus another ten more focused ones…

Jamie,
We’ve recently started a new website called ExposureRoom http://exposureroom.com. Besides, video hosting, it’s a great place for your students to learn and share their videos, and knowledge and also get their videos reviewed by independent reviewers.
I’d like to extend an invitation to you and your students to use ExposureRoom. If you’d like “tools” built into ExposureRoom such that you can manage, grade etc. your student (over and above the existing rating, commenting that’s already in place, we’re all ears and would gladly make ExposureRoom a place for students and teachers alike.
We’ll also be hold contests that your student could participate in, or you (as a teacher) could hold contests (and grade) your students while they get feedback and ratings from other members.
What do you think?
My videos page ExposureRoom is:

Hi Jamie,
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the kind acknowledgement, I am pretty proud of the website, it is such a great learning tool, especially for students from the country who can’t get to Top Designs. And as someone who doesn’t make many sites it is great preparation for me moving into the production phase.
Thanks too for your blog, very interesting and great to have such an eclectic collection of material.
I note that you haven’t included one of my fave filmmaking websites (I like it ‘cos it is a bit daggy, like me) which kids really get, Eejit’s Guide.

It certainly makes my top 20.
whilst I’m on a roll, your pic is cool, check out my daggy one on Facebook,
Time for the weekend,
Jo
